About me
My name is Savannah Bancroft and I'm orginally from Pasadena, California. My whole life I have felt a pull to misssions. I was always drawn to the stories of wild treks and unheard of adventures from the missionaries that would speak at my school and church growing up. The opportunity arose in the summer of 2012 to go on my first missions trip to do medical missions in Dominican Republic and I was beyond excited! As soon as I stepped off the airplane, I knew that God had engraved missions on my heart! From that summer in the middle of high school, I was on fire to spread the love of Christ to the nations! For the next two summers, I continued to go to Dominican Republic and saw God move in incrdible ways. As much as I treasured those several weeks each summer in Dominican Republic, I wasn't entirely satisfied with just a few weeks out of my year - I had a burning desire to do missions every day of my life! Through crazy divine appointments, a dear friend shared about the organization called Youth With A Mission (YWAM). After researching what a Discipleship Training School was, I knew the Lord had given me the answer to the desires of my heart.
In September of 2014, I started a journey of a lifetime with YWAM that I had NO idea would change my life forever! I was a student in the Fire and Fragrance DTS in Kona, Hawaii and went to Amsterdam, The Netherlands on my outreach. WOW! I cannot even begin to describe the impact the Lord worked in my heart in the 6 months of DTS. It blows my mind to see the impact the love of Jesus has made in the world! My heart is absolutely gripped for spreading the Gospel and carrying the love of Jesus every where I go. I now will be staffing the upcoming Fire and Fragrance DTS this fall of 2015!!! I cannot wait! There is no going back for me! This is just the beginning of my life and I can hardly wait to see the glory the Lord has in front of me!!
