The story behind 'Awake and Arise'

"We're a family. It's my responsibility as a brother in Christ to use my gifts to make your dreams come true. That is why you are welcome to come into the studio to record anything you want and I can mix and master everything all for free. I will work around your schedule so whenever you are available, I am at your disposal."

WHAT?! I couldn't believe that it was real life! I was astounded by the goodness of the Father's heart that He was pouring onto me while I was in Amsterdam for my DTS outreach. I was also deeply moved by the example the YWAM Amsterdam staff who offered his professinally trained skills to help my out. He showed me what the body of Christ should look like - so selfless and so encouraging! 

Awake and Arise is really specail to me because it is made up of three songs that really spoke to me during DTS. I coverd the songs Finish What You Started by Sean Feucht, Good Good Father by Housefires, and You Know Me by Bethel Music. Each song produced such strong revelations of Jesus's love for me in the midst of different seasons of mourning, chaos, and peace. The Lord is always faithful. He has never left my side and He knows everything about who I am because I am all HIS!

The name of this EP came from one of my favorite verses in Ephesians 5:14 " Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you." This verse really encouraged me and is really what I felt the Lord put on my heart for not only my own life, but for the nations! I believe that this is a time and season that the Lord is waking up His people and calling them to truly be alive in Christ!!!
